Abidemi Ayodeji Ogunmolu, known by his stage name Bidemi Olaoba, was born on October 15, 1991, in Lagos State, Nigeria. He hails from the Ikale people of Okitipupa, Ondo State. He began his musical journey in the choir of Christ Apostolic Church and later led worship in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Bidemi studied Civil Engineering at Yaba College of Technology and later read Economics at the University of Lagos.
Bidemi officially launched his gospel music career in 2016 with the release of his debut single, “Final Say,” which introduced his signature phrase, “The Bible Says.” His high-energy gospel HighLife–Fuji style has since seen him perform at large events like RCCG Marathon Praise and The Experience. He also pioneered the virtual concert series Unrestricted Praise in 2020, featuring gospel icons such as Tope Alabi, Mercy Chinwo, and Eben. Over the years, Bidemi has released multiple studio and live albums—most recently Niwaju Oluwa, Gbe mi fo, and Give me chance in 2024—and continues to impact the gospel music scene in Nigeria and beyond
