Blessing Offor is a Nigerian-born American gospel and contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
Born on September 5 in Nigeria, he immigrated to the United States at the age of six with his uncle in hopes of receiving medical treatment for congenital glaucoma. Despite efforts to preserve his vision, Offor became completely blind by the age of ten. He developed a passion for music early on, drawing inspiration from artists like Stevie Wonder and Sam Cooke.
After studying at Belmont University in Nashville, he moved to New York City to further pursue his music career. In 2014, he gained national attention as a contestant on season 7 of The Voice, joining teams led by Pharrell Williams and later Adam Levine. Offor is signed to Capitol Christian Music Group, under which he released his debut EP Brighter Days in 2022 and his first full-length album My Tribe in 2023.
His music, characterized by themes of hope and resilience, has earned him critical acclaim, including nominations for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Notable collaborations include the duet “The Goodness” with TobyMac.
