Priscilla Marie Love, professionally known as CeCe Winans, is an American gospel singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born on October 8, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, she is a third-generation member of the legendary Winans family, a prominent dynasty in gospel music. CeCe first rose to widespread fame in the 1980s as one half of the hugely successful Grammy-winning gospel duo BeBe & CeCe Winans, with her brother BeBe Winans. After achieving multi-platinum success with the duo, she launched her highly acclaimed solo career in 1995. She is married to Alvin Love II, whom she wed on June 23, 1984, and they have two children, Alvin Love III and Ashley Marie Love.
CeCe Winans is the best-selling and most awarded female gospel artist of all time, having garnered 17 Grammy Awards, 33 GMA Dove Awards, 19 Stellar Awards, and numerous other accolades. Her music primarily falls under the Gospel, Contemporary Christian Music, R&B, and Worship genres, characterized by her powerful, clear vocals and ability to blend traditional gospel with contemporary sounds. She founded her own recording company, PureSprings Gospel, in 1999, and her solo albums, such as Alone in His Presence, Alabaster Box, Purified, Believe for It, and More Than This, have consistently topped charts. Beyond her music, CeCe also co-pastors Nashville Life Church with her husband and has authored several books.
