Gaise Baba, born Akinade Ibuoye on August 5, is a Nigerian gospel musician, songwriter, and speaker known for his unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and afro-pop infused with socially conscious lyrics that reflect his faith.
Hailing from Lagos State, he began his music journey in 2005 and has since become a prominent figure in Nigeria’s gospel music scene. Gaise Baba performs in Yoruba, English, and Nigerian Pidgin, often combining all three languages within his songs.
He holds a degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and a diploma in Music Business from Berklee College of Music . In 2015, he signed with ID Cabasa’s record label, Coded Tunes, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Beyond his music, Gaise Baba is an entrepreneur and the founder of initiatives like the ‘LightOut’ movement, aimed at inspiring youth through faith-based music and mentorship.
