Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle, widely known as Joe Mettle, is a celebrated Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter born on July 5, 1981, in Accra, Ghana.

He began his musical journey as a backing vocalist for renowned Ghanaian gospel artists such as Cindy Thompson, Danny Nettey, and Reverend Tom Bright Davies, and later became the lead singer for the multicultural music group Soul Winners.

In 2017, Joe made history by becoming the first gospel artist to win the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), a milestone that underscored his significant impact on the Ghanaian music scene.

Beyond his musical achievements, he founded Joe Mettle Ministries in 2007, which hosts annual events like Praiz Reloaded and Lovegift. He also manages Reverb Studios, a recording and rehearsal space in Accra.

Joe’s discography includes acclaimed albums such as My Gratitude (2011), The Encounter (2015), God of Miracles (2017), and The Experience (2021), featuring hit songs like “Ɔnwanwani” (God of Wonders), “Bo Noo Ni,” and “Yesu Adi Nkunim.” His soulful voice and heartfelt worship continue to inspire audiences both in Ghana and internationally.
