Philip David Wickham, widely known as Phil Wickham, is an American contemporary Christian singer, musician, and songwriter. He was born on April 5, 1984, in San Diego, California, and was raised in a musical Christian home; his parents were worship leaders and musicians. He began leading worship for his youth group at the age of 13 and released his first independent record at 18. Phil Wickham is married to Mallory Plotnik Wickham, whom he wed in 2008. They reside in San Diego, California, and have four children.
Wickham’s music primarily falls under the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) and Contemporary Worship genres, characterized by his uplifting melodies, anthemic choruses, and deeply spiritual lyrics. He has released numerous albums throughout his career, beginning with Give You My World (2003), followed by popular works like Cannons (2007), Heaven & Earth (2009), Response (2011), Children of God (2016), Living Hope (2018), and Hymn of Heaven (2021).
