Piesie Esther, born Ohemaa Esther on June 3, 1981, in Tamale, Ghana, is a renowned Ghanaian gospel singer, songwriter, and minister. Raised in a God-fearing family in Nsuta Atonsu, Ashanti Region, she completed her Junior High Education at Atonsu S.D.A. Her musical journey began at the age of 16, and she released her debut album, Apae Ama Me, in 2002.
Over the years, she has released several albums, including Me Nte Ase (2008), Ziba Beko (2011), Agye Won Nsem (2016), Osore3 Mu Tumi (2017), Maseda Kɛseɛ (2019), and Wobɛdi Adanseɛ (2021). Her song “Wobɛdi Adanseɛ” earned her multiple nominations and awards, including ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at the Ghana Music Awards France.
In 2023, she won the ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at the Ghana Music Awards and ‘Best Gospel Song’ at the 2024 Ghana Music Awards for her track “Mo.” Piesie Esther’s music is characterized by its inspirational messages and powerful vocals, making her one of the leading voices in Ghanaian gospel music.
