Oyenkepreye Odede, popularly known as Preye Odede, is an acclaimed Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship minister. Born on June 16, 1990, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, he grew up as the third child of his parents. Preye Odede is celebrated for his emotionally intense singing and stirring lyrics, which are frequently motivated by his deep faith and personal life experiences. His music primarily falls within the Gospel and Worship genres, often characterized as Christian music with an African gospel influence.
Preye Odede is the CEO of Script Music (Script Planet), his own record label, through which he has released much of his impactful work. He rose to prominence with his debut album “My Script,” featuring popular songs like “Ebezina” and “The Promise.” He is also the convener of “THE MOVE” concert, one of the biggest concerts convened by an individual artist in the South-South region of Nigeria.
