Sinach, born Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu on March 30, 1972, in Afikpo South, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, is a renowned Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader.
She has been a prominent figure in gospel music since 1994, serving as a senior worship leader at Christ Embassy (Loveworld). Sinach is celebrated for her powerful worship anthems, including “Way Maker,” “I Know Who I Am,” and “The Name of Jesus”.
Her song “Way Maker” gained international acclaim, becoming a global worship staple and earning the Song of the Year award at the 51st GMA Dove Awards. In 2020, she made history as the first African artist to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart.
Sinach is associated with Loveworld Records and SLIC. Beyond her musical achievements, she has performed in over 50 countries and received numerous accolades, including recognition from the US Congress and the Bethlehem Hall of Faith.
