Tim Godfrey (born Timothy Chukwudi Godfrey on August 26, 1980) is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, music director, worship leader, and trumpeter, hailing from Kaduna State and originally from Abia State. He began singing in his local church choir from a young age, eventually founding the gospel music group Xtreme Crew in 2004 and later starting his record label Rox Nation. He earned an honorary Doctorate in Fine Art and Musicology from Trinity International University of Ambassadors, Georgia (USA), in 2018.
Tim Godfrey is married to Erica Katrina, exchanging vows on April 23, 2022, after an engagement earlier that year. They are parents to two children: his son Bryan, born in 2008, and daughter Reign Amara Munachi, born in February 2023. Godfrey gained international acclaim with the 2018 hit “Nara” featuring Travis Greene, and has since headlined notable platforms like the Fearless concert series and Nigeria’s The Experience gospel concert. His innovative fusion of contemporary gospel, hip-hop, and Afrobeat has made him a prominent figure in the global gospel music industry.
