Asisat Lamina Oshoala is the ideal illustration of a tenacious youngster who overcame all obstacles to make her ambitions come true.

Education

Asisat attended Air Force Elementary School in Victoria Island for her primary education before transferring to Aunty Ayo International School in Ikoyi, also in Lagos, where she finished her secondary education in 2009.

Career

She began her career at Nigerian Lower Division club FC Robo after completing her secondary education, where she stayed from 2009 until 2013, before moving on to Rivers Angels.

When she represented Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada, Asisat gained notoriety for Rivers Angels. With seven goals, she became the tournament’s leading scorer and was given the Player of the Tournament award.
