Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar on Saturday advised youths ahead of 2023 presidential elections to compete for elective offices in 2023.

He affirmed that youths have the right to seek for the presidency rather than seeking to deny elders the constitutional rights to pursue their presidential ambition.

Atiku, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in 2019, hinted the electoral field that he is also open for competition. He expressed the confidence that he still stand the chance of getting the party’s ticket to run for the same office in 2023.

The ‘Turaki Adamawa’ spoke while answering questions from reporters after a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Penthouse within the sprawling Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The ex-Vice President, who arrived OOPL at 10.10 am, went into a private meeting with his host.

He said: “I came to see my boss’ but remained silent on what was discussed during the meeting, which lasted for an hour.
