Osemiebi Loveday popularly called Joy Joseph was born on the 22 of December (year not stated). She started singing , writing and composing songs at a very tender age. At the age of 12, she joined the children choir in her local church and was later made the music director.
She is also a gifted drummer who has challenged other girls to learn how to play the drums.

In the year 2004, Joy Joseph received the perl music award and also received the shell petroleum development company (SPDC) music award in the year 2008.
