Clarion Chukwura Early Life
Clarion was raised in her family’s residence in Yaba, Lagos, on Agard Street, just off Commercial Avenue. Her father, a well-known socialite who went by the name J.C., worked as an accountant and personnel manager at the Nigerian Textiles Mill in Apapa, Lagos, which was then known as SUNFLAG. Her mother traded in food supplies and worked as a builder. She grew up with four brothers as the only daughter in the family.


She went to All Saints Primary School on Montgomery Road in Yaba, Lagos, as well as the Moluka and Lady Lark Nursery Schools there. Her brothers and she went home with her paternal uncle in Aba, Abia State, when she lost her father in 1975 when she was 11 years old.
She attended Queen of our Rosary Collge (QRC), Anambra State, her hometown for her secondary school education.
When given the option to attend a federal government college, Clarion picked Q.R.C. after passing her Common Entrance Examination with the greatest overall score, according to the Daily Times. At the Department of Dramatic Arts, University of Ife, Ile-Ife in Osun state, she pursued acting and speech studies. She also participated in a three-week refresher speech training sponsored by The West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, in 1997 in Leeds (North England).


Clarion Chukwura Career
After playing Lady Macbeth in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ, both school plays while attending QRC, Clarion started acting as a passionately motivated teenager in October 1979.
She joined Tunji Oyelana’s band “The Kenneries” as a backup vocalist and developed into a semi-professional actor with the University of Ibadan Performing Company. She left the UPC on July 1st, 1980, and began her professional studies at the University of Ife on October 1st, 1981.
With Lola Fani-soap Kayode’s opera “Mirror in the Sun,” she made her acting debut as a professional in 1984. Over the course of her 26-year acting career, she has taken a number of theatre workshops, theatre business seminars, script conferences, and refresher courses.
She is a highly skilled actor who developed her abilities through training and experience to become one of Africa’s best at character and method acting.
The Obi of Onitsha in Anambra State granted Clarion the traditional chieftaincy title of Ada Eji Eje Mba I of Onitsha. She presently holds the positions of program director for a nonprofit organization, A U.N. Special International Peace Envoy, and CEO of the creative arts production business Capital Dreams.

Shina Peters, a renowned practitioner of afro-juju, pregnant Chukwura. Their son Clarence Peters inherited her mother’s exceptional talent. The two met while working on the Nigerian television show Money Power, and they subsequently had a brief romance. Later, she started dating Wale Adebayo, a fellow employee. On April 21, 2016, the Nollywood diva wed Anthony Boyd in the United States of America. At the moment, she resides in Austell, Georgia.
