Madam Esabod, famously known as Iya Ewe, (Mother of EweNation), is a famous Nigerian video blogger, spiritual doctor, motivational speaker, philanthropist, influencer and socialist.
Who is Esabod?
Based in Ireland, she is a Herbalist known for her outspokenness, usually through her blog and social media pages. Her manner of calling out cheating women over adultery has earned her the nick ‘Nononsense Blogger’. Esabod is well known in Yorubaland, particularly amongst Ibadan people, who she uses her life story to inspire.
Her full name is Esther Tokunbo Aboderin, from which she coined her name ‘Esabod’. She is from ancient Ibadan, Oyo State. Esabod was born on 26th March, 1961 to the family of Aboderins, who is said to be the pioneers of the Punch newspaper. Esabod’s mother was called madam Foyeke, she is late.
A lot of details about her primary school is not known, but Madam Esther Aboderin began secondary education in 1974 and finished in 1979. From then, she got admission to study medicine in the University of Ibadan. For some reasons known to Esabod, she didn’t complete her university education, instead dropped out to go get employed in the then Tollgate station in Ibadan.
Esabod has two children which she bore to her first husband. Her children’s names are Hannah and Wale. She cherishes her kids dearly and often lavishes them with money. She is said to have got a jeep for her daughter, who is also called Tina.
Her flamboyant lifestyles make people wag tongues at her as a proud woman. But she is a very hardworking lady who knows how to live the ‘flick’ life. She loves throwing flamboyant Owambe parties, especially on her birthdays.
In 2017, Esabod celebratedher 56th birthday in London and it was a rave. Similarly, 2018 got her celebrating 57th anniversary in Dublin, Ireland, which was a big one. She had Nigerian performers such as Saheed Osupa and MC Seyi Law flown to Dublin for the celebration.

Esther Aboderin has always been a business woman. After a few years in UK, she flew back to Nigeria in the 90s and established businesses in Gbagi Market, Oyo State. She later switched to Uber driving because the businesses folded up. Esabod then relocated to UK again with the help of a friend.
While in UK, she engaged in menial jobs to make earns meet but wasn’t satisfied. Madam Esther then moved to Dublin, but this time with her family. She began blogging in 2010 with the name Esabod. Madam Esther is among the pioneers of social media talk shows in Nigeria.
She Mainly uses her Facebook page to dissect issues concerning adultery by Nigerian housewives. Her show soon became a household thing as it’s often said ‘the fear of Esabod is the start of wisdom for unfaithful housewives”.
She had many viewers and following soon because of how she infuses comic and nide remarks into her presentations. She talks about intimate sexual subjects with sass and flair that her viewers give her merit for being so bold and uncouth.
Her specialties are commentary about the lives, controversies, lies, and grapevines stories of Yoruba celebrities. She is a bold and brazen vlogger who has earned the title ‘‘Nononsense Blogger’. She has several blogs and has raised many bloggers in and outside Nigeria.
Husband and Family
Esabod married her first husband in 1982 in Ibadan. She bore her first child in 1983 at Olusanya Hospital off Ibadan Ring Road. She bore another child to the same man before moving to UK.
In UK, she was engaged to her former Nigerian driver, Niyi Oyewale alias Gaddafi. According to Esabod, the union was a disaster to both she and her children. It was a so chaotic that government of Ireland had them separated and gave Niyi a barring order. Niyi however always tried getting back to Esabod after then.

Esabod is also a spiritual healer who uses roots and herbs to cure many illnesses. She established her brand in 2016, Esabod Herbs and Roots. She also produces sex enhancement creams and others.
Her show has brought her fans as well as enemies because of what she talks about. Among her infamous controversial acquaintances are Kemi Olunloyo, a daughter to former Oyo State Governor, and a lady called Adike Jagaban.
