While in IMT, 2Face was the man about town playing at nearly every event and party in school and even in other schools within the Enugu Metropolis. Additionally, he earned additional money by writing and performing jingles for the GB Fan Club at the Enugu State Broadcasting Services (ESBS).

He left Enugu for Lagos, where he joined forces with Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo) and Faze (Chibuzor Oji) to establish the Plantashun Boiz band. Before disbanding in 2004 and going solo, the trio had two hit albums under their belts: Body and Soul (2000) and Sold Out (2003).

The following year, 2004, 2Face released his debut solo album Face 2 Face, solidifying his position as a successful solo musician. Two years later, in 2006, Grass 2 Grace, his second album, was released. He gained international recognition because to the song “African Queen.” The song helped him win numerous accolades in Nigeria and overseas and elevated him to the status of most well-known outstanding performer in Nigeria.

The two structures are thought to be worth more than N400 million. The opulent five-bedroom duplex is believed to offer a little studio, patio, gym, two sitting rooms, and other specialized features. The union of 2Face Idibia and Annie Macaulay, a Nollywood actress, produced two daughters: Isabella Idibia, born in December 2008, and Olivia Idibia, born on January 3, 2014. The couple tied the knot in a customary ceremony on March 8, 2013, in Eket, Akwa-Ibom State, Nigeria. The couple had a red carpet reception in Dubai on Saturday, March 23, 2013, and prominent individuals from the entertainment industry were in attendance. 2face has a history of having issues with women, and he has five other children from three different women. Some of his other children are Rose Idibia, Innocent Idibia, Zii Idibia, Nino Idibia, and Justin Idibia.

He was shot by a group of armed robbers in 2007, yet he managed to avoid death. It was October 4, 2007, a Thursday. When they were ambushed by gunmen, 2face was in a car with a few pals, including Ifeanyi odogwu, the singer Faze’s brother. During the process, 2face took a bullet to the thigh.
