Early Life
In an interview, Lerner revealed shocking details about those rough early days of his. In 2018, he stated that he was facing bankruptcy and living in his ex’s spare bedroom. His debts to many business failures, including two restaurant franchisors, totaled $500,000.
He was able to support himself by playing the piano. However, a broken hand left him unable to play.
Later, Jeff Lerner found an online course on affiliate marketing. He spent the next few weeks studying the subject for 12-16 hours a day. While on breaks, he said he filmed marketing videos in the backyard. According to Lerner, in one month, he earned $40,000 in commissions. In the following month, he earned $70,000. That year, he was number three in an affiliate marketing network of thousands.
