Chuck Kirkendall is Kali’s true name. He was born on February 18, 1975, in Oakland, California. Since Kali and his three siblings never met their biological father, they were raised by his mother and stepfather.
He was greatly impacted by his upbringing in a low-income, violent neighborhood. His older brother was shot and killed. As a result, Chuck started robbing people to support his family.
