Naira Marley Parents: Meet the Father and Mother of Naira Marley


Naira Marley whose birth name is Azeez Fashola is a Nigerian Controversial singer and songwriter. He was born on 10 May 1994 in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria. He moved to London when he was 11years. He graduated with a distinction in business from Peckham academy.

He also studied business law at crossway college (now Christ the king Sixth Form college).


How he started music

He joined the music industry and released his debut EP “Gotta Dance” in 2015. In 2017, he released another hit single “Issa Goal” alongside Olamide and Lil Kesh. The hit single “Issa Goal” became the theme song for the super eagles in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.


In 2019, Naira released a track “Am I A Yahoo Boy” ft. Zlatan. He was arrested the same day he released the song. He released his award winning track “Soapy” few days after his release from jail.

Naira Marley is popularly known as the president of the controversial fan base “Marlians”. He set up his own record label “Marlian records” and has signed some upcoming artists in this label.

How he got the name Naira Marley?

Azeez Fashola derived his stage name, Naira Marley, as well as his inspiration and dreadlock from a Jamaican singer Bob Marley. Naira Marley is married to two women and has four children.
