The wife of TB Joshua, a well-known pastor of the Synagogue Church of all Nations, Evelyn Joshua, is the driving force behind his success in ministry.

Little was known about the charming prophet’s wife, but a few years ago, she gave an interview in which she shared a lot of information about her and her gorgeous family.

Early Years

Evelyn was born on December 17th, 1968. She is from Okala Okpuno in the Oshimili North Local Government in Delta State, where she was born and raised. Although Evelyn was born as a twin, her brother arrived later.

She was a member of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Akabude’s family. Evelyn attended St. Emecheta Primay School in the Delta State town of Ezi, but she didn’t finish elementary school.

After arriving in Lagos in 1977, Evelyn finished her basic school there at Orile Primary School in Oshodi. She completed her secondary studies there as well.

She was attending the Assemblies of God Church and working at the Nigerian Distilleries in Ota when she first met her husband.

Evelyn took various business courses in Ghana after getting married. She is highly involved in her husband’s ministry even though she is not a pastor herself and only serves as his wife.

Evelyn claimed that 45 minutes after their first meeting, TB Joshua proposed to her. At the time, she was twenty-two years old.

When Evelyn visited her sister in Ikotun-Egbe, she noticed that everyone appeared to be discussing a specific prophet. It’s interesting that they all appear to think highly of him.

Because she was in need of a spiritual mentor at the time, she also wished to meet the prophet. She and her sister went to visit him at home, but she was not there. She visited him one more many months later, but this time she actually met him.

She was taken aback when she realized the prophet was so young. When he first met her, he took his time admiring her before writing the word Ejide (twin) on a piece of paper.

Evelyn learned a lot about herself from TB Joshua, some of which she already knew and others of which she did not.

He proposed to her following their about 45-minute talk. Evelyn found this extremely odd, but she claimed that when he made the suggestion, her heart had already approved of it.

Later, she would question how he could approach a woman for the first time and propose to her. At this point, he revealed to her a vision he had a few days prior.

After that meeting, Evelyn married T.B. Joshua, and so far, being married to the prophet has been a happy experience.

Since she received a directive to visit TB Joshua the morning of the meeting, Evelyn believes that their fateful encounter was a heavenly arrangement. Even if the proposal seemed weird at the time, she is thankful to God because their marriage has so far been successful.

Even though Evelyn and TB Joshua have been married for almost 25 years, she claims there were some early difficulties because of their cross-cultural union. Evelyn is from Delta, while TB Joshua is from Ondo State.

But other from these early difficulties, everything has gone well, and she is happy in her marriage. It’s interesting that all of her children are female, which is frequently a problem in marriages, but Evelyn claims she isn’t worried by it because her husband doesn’t mind. She also seems to be surrounded by a lot of guys, so she doesn’t feel excluded despite not having a kid.


Evelyn and TB Joshua have three kids together. Serah, the eldest child, is a law graduate of the London School of Economics. In Nigeria, she was admitted to the bar in December 2015.

The second child, Promise, is presently enrolled in the London School of Economics to study international relations and politics.

Since the family seems to have kept her identity mostly a secret, the third child of the Joshuas is not commonly recognized.


Evelyn is said to be a workaholic, and many believe that, after her husband, she has the second-highest position at the Synagogue Church.

Evelyn assists her husband in his ministry and is frequently spotted visiting with and assisting folks who were unable to see the prophet, in particular.

Here’s a brief description of Evelyn’s husband in case you don’t already know who he is. He goes by Temitope Balogun Joshua in full. He was conceived on June 12, 1963. The founder and head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations is TB Joshua (SCOAN).

He also started Emmanuel TV, a global television network with a base in Lagos.

In addition to Nigeria, Joshua is a well-known and respected preacher all over Africa. His social media followings undoubtedly attest to this. On Facebook, he has over 3 million fans, and on YouTube, he has over 600,000 subscribers. More than 200 million people have watched his YouTube videos overall.

Particularly in the media, there have been many rumors concerning TB Joshua’s character.

Evelyn claims that TB Joshua is not a strange man or a mysterious individual. She claims that he is merely committed to fulfilling his calling and that he is a godly man. She also asserts that the unfavorable reports about him don’t bother her because she is aware of her spouse as an upright and modest individual who constantly seeks to serve God.
