Aluko Damilola, professionally known as Adam Songbird, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, film score composer, sound designer, and music producer from Lagos State. He earned a diploma in Computer Science from Federal Polytechnic Offa in 2006 and a bachelor’s in the same field from Lagos State University in 2016. Growing up immersed in Lagos’s vibrant music scene, he was influenced by fuji, reggae, and traditional sounds, shaping his distinctive gospel-infused style.
Adam Songbird first made a mark in film composition in 2012 with Saheed Balogun’s Eti Keta, and has since become a sought-after soundtrack specialist, contributing to major Nollywood titles like The Prophetess, King of Thieves, Battle on Buka Street, and Jagun Jagun, earning double nominations at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. As a solo musician, he released the EP No Strings Attached in March 2022, featuring tracks like “Lomi”, “Awe O”, and “Elyon,” which showcase his gospel and Afro-pop flair. His recent singles such as “Ina My Heart” (2023) and gospel-infused soundtrack collaborations in 2025 underline his versatility and growing influence in both music and film industries
