Joel Figueroa is a worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist deeply rooted in UPPERROOM, a Dallas-based worship movement known for its spontaneous and Spirit-led worship.
He has been an integral part of UPPERROOM for over a decade, contributing to its mission of cultivating a resting place for God’s presence through worship and prayer.
Figueroa’s musical contributions include leading worship on various UPPERROOM projects, such as the live album 1350 (Live), where he performed songs like “Leadership of the Lord (My Reward)” alongside Elyssa Figueroa. He also collaborated with David Cruz on the track “You and You Alone (Lo-Fi Version)”.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Joel Figueroa is passionate about living a life centered on Christ, family, and genuine connection. He is an alumnus of Christ for the Nations Institute (CFNI), class of 2009, and continues to inspire others through his commitment to authentic worship and community.
Joel is married to fellow worship leader Elyssa Figueroa (formerly Elyssa Smith), and together they continue to lead worship and contribute to the UPPERROOM community.
