Efeoghene Donald Idu, professionally known as Mac Roc, is a prominent Nigerian composer and music producer. Born in Lagos State, Nigeria, and hailing originally from Ughelli North, Delta State, he is widely recognized for his versatility in blending various genres, including contemporary gospel, pop, rock, and soul. Mac Roc began his musical journey in 2004 as a keyboardist in his local church, officially launching his career in 2012 with his debut single “Hope.”
Beyond his personal music releases and productions for other artists, Mac Roc is also a talent coach, developer, mixing and mastering engineer, and a strong advocate for emerging artists in Nigeria. He is known for his “Mac Roc Sessions,” a platform designed to unearth and showcase new musical talents. While he has released music on various digital platforms, and is associated with “Everything Roc’s Empire” for some recent releases, a single overarching record label isn’t consistently noted across all his extensive work.
