Christopher Michael Hulvey, known professionally as Hulvey, is an American Christian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Brunswick, Georgia.
Born on January 13, 1999, he began his musical journey after dropping out of college and working at a Publix supermarket, where he often found inspiration for his lyrics during his shifts. In 2019, he signed with Reach Records, a prominent label in the Christian hip-hop scene.
His debut studio album, Christopher, released in 2021, debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and No. 19 on the Rap Albums chart. The album features collaborations with artists like Lecrae, SVRCINA, and Andy Mineo. Hulvey’s music is characterized by its introspective lyrics and fusion of hip-hop, pop, and soul elements, reflecting his deep faith and personal experiences.
He has released several EPs, including Prelude and BRKNHRT., and notable singles like “Beautiful,” “Have Me,” and “Closer.” In 2023, his collaborations “No Longer Bound” with Forrest Frank and “WALK” with Lecrae achieved significant success on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart.
