Pelumi Deborah, affectionately known as PD, is a Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter celebrated for her powerful vocals and deeply spiritual music.

Born on August 20 and raised in Akure, Ondo State by her grandparents—both musicians—she was immersed in music from an early age. This rich musical heritage laid the foundation for her passion and commitment to gospel music.

Her musical journey began in earnest with the release of her debut single, “Erujeje,” in December 2024. This track, which incorporates traditional Yoruba Oriki (chants), showcases her unique ability to blend cultural elements with contemporary gospel sounds. Following this, she released “Aanu (Mercy),” a soulful expression of gratitude for God’s mercy, and “Hymns & Sounds,” a medley of her favorite hymns delivered with heartfelt sincerity.

In April 2025, Pelumi unveiled her debut album, My King and I, a 10-track collection that further cements her place in the gospel music scene. The album features songs that resonate with themes of worship, identity, and divine love. Notably, the track “Omo’ba,” featuring George Alao, stands out as a powerful anthem affirming believers’ identity as children of the King.

Beyond her recordings, Pelumi is known for her dynamic live ministrations, including performances at institutions like LAUTECH, where she continues to inspire audiences with her passionate worship.
