Israel Houghton, born on May 19, 1971, in Oceanside, California, is a renowned American Christian music singer, songwriter, producer, and worship leader. He is best known for his work with Israel & New Breed, a worship team he founded in 1995. Houghton’s music blends elements of gospel, jazz, rock, and reggae, creating a unique and dynamic sound that has resonated with audiences worldwide.
Throughout his career, Houghton has achieved significant recognition, including five Grammy Awards, 13 Dove Awards, and two Stellar Awards.
