Rend Collective is a Northern Irish Christian folk rock worship band that originated in Bangor, Northern Ireland. They are known for their authentic and energetic style of worship, characterized by a blend of contemporary Christian music, folk rock, and worship, often incorporating unique instrumentation. The band’s current lineup includes Chris Llewellyn, Steve Mitchell, Wil Pearce, Jonathan Chu, and Daniel Jones. They have gained an international audience with popular songs like “Build Your Kingdom Here” and “My Lighthouse.”
The group operates more as a spiritual and creative collective than a traditional band, with a strong emphasis on community and a mission to make worship accessible and joyful. They have released numerous albums through labels such as Kingsway, Integrity, and Capitol CMG. Founding members Gareth and Ali Gilkeson are married and have been central to the group’s journey.
