Prospa Ochimana, born on November 6 in Kogi State, Nigeria, is a celebrated gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader renowned for his powerful and spiritually uplifting music.
He gained widespread recognition with his 2018 hit single “Ekwueme,” featuring the late Osinachi Nwachukwu, which became a worship anthem across Nigeria and beyond. Other notable songs include “You Are Jehovah,” “The Great I Am,” and “It All Belongs to You”.
Ochimana is the founder and CEO of Tornveil Music International, a gospel music label through which he mentors emerging artists and organizes the annual Festival of Grace concert. He is also the convener of “The Jesus Experience,” a yearly worship concert that has featured music ministers from around the world.
His contributions to gospel music have earned him several accolades, including the 2018 Clima Awards Song of the Year for “Ekwueme” and the African Male Artiste of the Year at the 2019 Gospel Touch Music Awards UK. Ochimana holds a degree in Linguistics from Nasarawa State University and a certificate from the Dunamis School of Ministry in Abuja.
