Waje, born Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe on September 1, 1981, is a powerhouse Nigerian vocalist and songwriter whose name stands for “Words Aren’t Just Enough”.
She first caught the public’s attention with her stunning vocals on the remake of P-Square’s “Omoge Mi”, and solidified her place in the industry with a memorable feature on their 2008 hit, “Do Me”.
Known for her rich, soulful voice and emotional depth, Waje went on to lend her talent to tracks like Banky W’s “Thief My Kele” and M.I’s heartfelt “One Naira,” both of which remain fan favorites.
Beyond music, Waje has also made her mark on TV. In 2016, she served as one of the original judges on the first season of The Voice Nigeria, bringing her expertise and warmth to the show.
Two years later, she stepped into the world of acting, appearing in the final season of the Africa Magic telenovela Battleground.
