Christine Nkole, born Christine Bwalya Nkole Chigande on July 11, 1990, in Zambia, is a prominent gospel singer and songwriter known for her powerful vocals and spiritually uplifting music. She began her musical journey with Potiphar’s Band and later gained recognition as a lead vocalist with Kings Malembe Malembe. Seeking to pursue her personal artistic vision, she eventually formed her own band, comprising 25 members, to focus on her solo projects.
In December 2023, Christine released her album Blessed, featuring tracks like “Ilange,” “Katantala,” and “Dependable (Live).” The album showcases her unique blend of contemporary gospel sounds with traditional Zambian musical elements.
Christine’s contributions to gospel music have been recognized internationally. In August 2024, she made history by becoming the first Zambian gospel and female artist to be considered for a Grammy nomination, marking a significant milestone for the Zambian music industry.
