CJ Emulous, born CJ Solomon, is an internationally recognized Christian rap artist, speaker, and evangelist based in California. His journey from a life of crime to a transformative faith in Jesus Christ has become a cornerstone of his ministry.
At 20, while living a lavish lifestyle funded by drug and firearm trafficking, he was arrested and faced a 10–12-year federal prison sentence. During his incarceration, CJ encountered the gospel, leading to a profound spiritual awakening. Miraculously, he was released less than a year later, despite the mandatory minimum sentence, and has since dedicated his life to ministry.
As a former Youth & Young Adult Pastor with Youth For Christ Sacramento, CJ now travels globally, sharing his testimony and music to inspire others. He is a member of the GLO Collective, alongside artists like Miles Minnick, and has collaborated with notable figures such as Lecrae, Andy Mineo, and Hillsong Y&F.
His music, characterized by the “Holy & Hyphy” style—a blend of spiritual themes with energetic West Coast beats—includes tracks like “Spirit Lead Me,” “Love Sick” featuring 1K Phew, and “Today”.
In 2025, CJ launched a television series titled The Holy & Hyphy Life on the NOW Network, offering viewers an inside look at his life, ministry, and the challenges of being a Christian artist.
Through his multifaceted outreach—including music, preaching, and media—CJ Emulous continues to impact lives, encouraging a generation to embrace faith and transformation.
