Elizabeth Asher Holcomb (née Bannister), known professionally as Ellie Holcomb, is an American contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter. She was born on September 12, 1982, in Nashville, Tennessee. The daughter of noted music producer Brown Bannister, she initially toured and recorded as a member of her husband Drew Holcomb’s band, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, for eight years. She is married to Drew Holcomb, whom she wed in 2006, and they have three children.
Ellie Holcomb’s solo music primarily falls within the Contemporary Christian Music, Folk Rock, and Americana genres. After stepping off the road with her husband’s band to focus on family, she launched a successful solo career. Her debut solo album, As Sure As The Sun (2014), garnered significant attention, earning her a GMA Dove Award for “New Artist of the Year.” She has released music under her own Full Heart Music label and is also associated with Capitol Christian Music Group. Beyond her music, she is also a best-selling children’s book author.
