The Bethel Revival Choir is a renowned Ghanaian contemporary gospel choir operating under the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), Trinity Parish, located in Kotobabi, Accra, Ghana. It is a collective body of singers and musicians. The choir has been in existence for over two decades, having started ministration in the early 1990s. The choir is currently directed by Henry Datsomor, managed by David Asiwome Boahini, and headed by Dr. George Hedidor.
The Bethel Revival Choir’s music primarily falls under the Gospel and Contemporary Gospel genres, often distinguished by their unique blend of traditional Ghanaian music patterns, indigenous Ghanaian languages (especially Ewe, though they minister in English more often in church), and contemporary African rhythms. They are celebrated for their powerful vocal delivery, ability to modernize old traditional songs, and for crafting captivating Ewe medleys. Their discography includes albums such as Halleluyah (2007), Akpe (2018), Enyo (2022), and the recently released Yesu (2025). They have collaborated with notable artists like Joe Mettle, Ps. Helen Yawson, Eugene Zuta, Luigi Maclean, Osborn Agbodovi, and Raphiya. While they operate under the Global Evangelical Church, their music is distributed widely across digital platforms, often through their own channels. They have also received multiple awards at events like the 3Music Awards and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
