LASTMA ADDRESSES OVER 1,750 PUBLIC CALLS IN THREE MONTHS THROUGH TOLL-FREE CALL CENTER

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has reported that it received and addressed over 1,750 calls from the public through its toll-free call center since its inauguration in June 2024. These calls provided feedback on the performance of LASTMA officers at various traffic hotspots across the state.

During an operational meeting held on Sunday with Zonal Heads and field officers at LASTMA Headquarters in Oshodi, the agency’s General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, emphasized LASTMA’s dedication to delivering prompt and efficient responses to all inquiries and reports received through the toll-free call center numbers: 080000527862 and 080000LASTMA.

The call center, operational daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, serves as a crucial communication link between LASTMA and the public. It allows motorists to report traffic incidents, seek assistance, and receive real-time traffic updates, helping to manage the city’s often congested roads more effectively.

Bakare-Oki highlighted that every call received by LASTMA is treated with the utmost urgency, reflecting the agency’s commitment to enhancing traffic management efficiency across Lagos State. He acknowledged the challenges faced by Lagosians, particularly due to ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects, and assured that LASTMA is dedicated to providing timely and effective solutions.

“We recognize the difficulties encountered by road users in Lagos, and we are committed to addressing them swiftly. Our toll-free call center is an essential tool in achieving this, and we continuously work to ensure that every call is promptly answered and appropriate actions are taken immediately,” Bakare-Oki stated.
