Megan Danielle is one of the top contestants trending on the American Idol show. 1. Megan Danielle is a gospel singer
Without fear or favour, Megan has used every chance in her performance to reveal Jesus in her music. She performed Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” for her American Idol audition. Lauren actually surprised Megan during her audition and performed with her. Her introduction video captured moment when Megan revealed that she was previously in a band that was performing in bars.

However, performing in bars wasn’t what pleasured her, and so, she decided to switch to Christian music following her grandfather’s addvice.
“This gave me an opportunity to share my love of God,” Danielle told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about doing Idol. “I want to be able to just lead people where the world is missing and the world is missing God. That’s what I strongly believe. And I want to really do better for myself and lead people in the right direction.”
2. Megan auditioned on The Voice.
Megan was one of the contestant during season 18 of The Voice. Before her elimination, she was part of Kelly Clarkson’s team and she made it to the top 9. Megan also competed in the same season as fellow top 20 contestant Michael Williams.
3. Megan is a native of Georgia.
Megan hails from Douglasville, Georgia. Prior to American Idol, Megan worked as a waitress at the Landmark Country Buffet with her mom.
4. Megan blamed herself for her dad leaving.
Ahead of her top 20 performance, Megan revealed that her dad separated from her mum when she was 7 years old.
“My siblings and I actually watched my dad walking out of the house,” she said. “I put a lot of blame on myself for my dad leaving. It made me feel kind of worthless, like I wasn’t a good daughter or even a good sister.” Megan admitted that it’s been a “lifelong struggle” for her to believe in herself.

5. Megan’s grandfather was an inspiration to her.
Megan’s granddad, Chuck, died about a year ago. She once revealed that her grandfather was the “most important person in my life” and “one of her biggest fan.”
