Napoli has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku in a deal worth around €45 million.
The deal includes a €30 million fixed fee, with potential add-ons of up to €15 million, bringing the total package to €45 million. This was confirmed by football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Antonio Conte, who previously managed Chelsea, has been vocal about his admiration for Lukaku and is eager to work with the striker again.
Lukaku will sign a three-year contract with Napoli, which will keep him at the club until June 2027.
Lukaku is no stranger to Serie A, having had successful stints at both Inter Milan and AS Roma. His experience in the league will be valuable for Napoli, especially after their season opener ended in a disappointing 3-0 loss to Verona.
With their first-choice striker, Victor Osimhen, indicating his desire to move elsewhere, Napoli sees Lukaku as the perfect leader to strengthen their attack.
