Squid Game, a global phenomenon on Netflix, now has a full cast for season two.
The series has eight actors on board: Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an.
They join the previously announced newcomers Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun as well as returning cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byun-hun, Hwang Jun-ho, and Gong Yoo.

The cast gathered this week for the first table read of season two, with filming set to start later in the year. Every second season episode will be directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the series’ creator, director, and executive producer.

The roles the new cast members are portraying are now being kept a secret.
A few of the new Squid Game characters have also appeared in other Netflix Korean programs. Kang had an appearance in Move to Heaven, while Park, Lee Jin-uk, and Won all made their acting debuts in the first season of D.P. Lee Hwang has collaborated with David and Lee Jin-uk on additional tasks.

Squid Game debuted in October 2021 and quickly rose to the top of Netflix’s list of all-time most popular series, garnering 2.2 billion hours of global viewing within its first 13 weeks and 265.2 million full seasons according to the streamer’s most recent update to its view measure.
Lee Jung-jae won best actor in a Drama Series and Hwang won best directing for a drama series out of the six Emmys the show garnered in 2022.
The executive producer of the show is Hwang and Kim Ji-yeon.
