According to the report, “the Committee invited Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, Principal of Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, and JAMB officials for an interactive session with the Committee.”

JAMB officials, led by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs, detailed the processes and procedures involved in JAMB admissions, the policy changes that have occurred in the release of UTME scores since 2021, and what precisely transpired between the candidate Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma with registration number: 20230639047FF in her quest to obtain her JAMB score.

Mmesoma Ejikeme JAMB Result Controversy Explained

“JAMB revealed that Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma made several requests to the JAMB portal asking for her results at various hours, and each of these times (four in number), she received the same results from JAMB indicating candidate’s UTME Results to wit: Eng: 64, Phy: 54, Bio: 74, Che: 57 with a total aggregate score of 249. JAMB stated that the candidate was well-informed of her correct JAMB score.

Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma had submitted a request to JAMB using a different registration number, displaying a UTME result of 362, with Eng: 98, Phy: 89, Bio: 94, and Che: 81. The results she sent varied greatly from one another.

“In addition, JAMB officials raised a number of red flags, including a different date of birth, a different Registration Number, and a Notification of Results template that has been discarded since 2021, among other things.”

It was also clear that the centre name “Nkemefuna Foundation” (then known as the Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) used for the examination was manipulated, as the candidate used the old name of the centre (Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) in her own managed result sheet.

In her response, Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma admitted to her principal and the Education Secretary that the JAMB authorities’ narration was a true and correct account of what happened.

She also admitted to giving a falsified result on her own, using the same Airtel phone number. She then went to a cybercafé (Prisca Global Computers, Uruagu, Nnewi) and printed the results she had modified.”

However, when the panel asked Mmesoma why she tampered with her results, she allegedly replied, “Nothing.”

The committee, therefore, recommended that Mmesoma promptly apologizes to JAMB, her school (Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi), and the Anambra State Government. They also advised her to seek psychological counseling and therapy.
