Pamela Mastropietro Crime Scene

The body of Pamela Mastropietro, 18, was discovered dismembered and abandoned on a street with pieces of her body put in luggage earlier this week, according to Il Giornale.

The Nigerian, named as 29-year-old Innocent Oseghale, was detained by Italian Carabinieri.

After reviewing CCTV footage from the area, the Carabinieri in nearby Macerata were able to identify the Nigerian in relation to the murder.

The 18-year-old had reportedly been living at a drug addiction recovery facility since October but had abruptly left the facility last Monday, according to investigators.

They were able to establish that the 29-year-old drug dealer was the last person to see the young woman alive using a variety of sources, including CCTV footage and witness accounts.

Rome-based forensic detectives were sent to the migrant’s home since he was staying in Italy on a visa that had already expired.

They were able to locate the victim’s clothing, some of which were covered in blood.
