What to know about David Corenswet?

Corenswet, a Philadelphia native who appeared in several plays as a young actor, graduated from the Juilliard School in 2016.

According to IMDb, Corenswet’s father, John Corenswet, was also a theatrical performer and both of his parents are attorneys. According to the website, Corenswet’s grandfather Edward Packard is the brains behind the “Choose Your Own Adventure” book idea.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2019, Corenswet stated that he had been told he resembles Henry Cavill, the most recent Superman to assume the role. Additionally, he stated that playing Superman was his “pie-in-the-sky ambition.”

“I would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback [take on Superman],” he said. “I love the Henry Cavill dark and gritty take, but I would love to see the next one be very bright and optimistic.”

What movies and TV shows have Corenswet been featured in?

The 6-foot-4 writer and actor appeared on “House of Cards” as a guest in 2018. Since then, he has become well-known for his work on the Ryan Murphy programs “Pearl,” “We Own This City,” and others.

He collaborated with Murphy once more in the acclaimed 2020 film “Hollywood,” as Jack Castello, a naive Midwesterner who relocates to Los Angeles after serving in the military to pursue a career as an actor. He served as the program’s executive producer as well.

Additionally, Corenswet will appear in the “Lady in the Lake” Apple TV Plus series.

Cavil declared on Instagram in December that he had been informed by Gunn and producer Peter Safran that he would not be returning.

This news isn’t easy to share when the studio instructed me to do so back in October before they were hired, but that’s life, according to Cavill. “The changing of the guard is a regular occurrence. I honor that. James and Peter need to create a universe.

Although it’s no longer my turn to don the cape, everything Superman stands for will always endure.
