And during the past week, Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and the CEO of an increasing number of businesses, including Tesla and SpaceX, has been criticizing Mark Zuckerberg and his new platform in an effort to discredit him and emphasize the contrasts between their two apps.
Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a crude competition on July 10 after charging Zuckerberg with purposefully mimicking Twitter in order to establish Threads.
Additionally, he has spoken of the “false happiness” of Instagram, saying, “It is infinitely preferable to be attacked by strangers on Twitter than to indulge in the false happiness of hide-the-pain Instagram.”

Elon Musk challenged Mark Zuckerberg to “a cage match” on social media last month, and the next day Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, got a text.
It came from Mr. Zuckerberg, the Meta’s CEO. If Mr. Musk was serious about a fight, he questioned Mr. White, the head of the world’s top mixed martial arts event, which is held in cage-like rings.
Mr. White called Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, Twitter, and SpaceX, and got his approval to challenge him. Mr. White then told Mr. Zuckerberg about that. In response, Mr. Zuckerberg said on Instagram, “Send Me Location,” a play on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s slogan, one of the U.F.C.’s most illustrious competitors.
Since then, Mr. White claimed that in order to plan the showdown, he has spoken with the tech millionaires separately every night. He claimed that he spoke with those two on the phone on Tuesday till 12:45 in the morning. He also stated, “They both want to do it.”
