The main character in Wura is Wura-Amoo Adeleke, the shrewd CEO of the made-up Frontline Gold Mine and a wonderful wife and caring mother of two. Wura has a dual existence as a “iron lady” in charge of her corporate empire and a perfect and pious woman in front of her family.

It is also lovely to watch established and up-and-coming Nollywood performers provide superb performances in this series.

Scarlet Gomez

Actress, singer, and model Gbemisola Scarlet Shotade Gomez is also a model. She was raised in Lagos and graduated from the University of Lagos with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

She started off as a model and has taken part in pageants. In Kingston, Jamaica, in December 2012, she took first place in the Miss United Nations Tourism competition.

She received her major break in the movie business thanks to her leading role in Armour, an original film by Africa Magic.

She is most recognized for her role as “Fadekemi” in the Africa Magic TV series “Flatmates,” and she currently plays the lead character of “Wura Amoo-Adeleke” in the Showmax original “Wura.”

Yomi Fash-Lanso

Veteran Nigerian actor, producer, and director Yomi Fash-Lanso has worked on more than 100 movies. On June 7, he was born in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

He graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in business administration. He received the prize for best actor in a supporting role for his role in Omo Elemosho from the NEA awards, which were held in the US, the same year he was nominated for the Africa Movie Academy prize for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards. In Wura, he portrays Anthony Amoo-Adeleke.

Martha Ehinome

Actor Martha Ehinome received her training in theater at the University of Ibadan’s Department of Theatre Arts, where she double majored in speech and acting.

She starred as “Esanjumi” in the Africa Magic soap Riona and was nominated for two BON (Best of Nollywood) awards for the critically acclaimed feature film “Dear Bayo,” which won numerous honors.

She enjoys singing, taking pictures, creating, traveling, and being among other creative people as she looks for chances to advance and ultimately push boundaries. In Wura, she portrays Tumininu ‘Tumi’ Kuti.

Ray Adeka

Filmmaker, actor, voice actor, and writer Ray Adeka is multi-talented. In the Africa Magic series, Venge, he portrayed the violent character of “Agent Gambo.” In Wura, he is currently Jejeloye “Jeje” Amoo, a villain.

Iremide Adeoye

Entertainment artist Aka Fantasticks is talented and has won awards. He is a young actor, a drummer who performs, host of events, producer of events, creative director, and content creator.

He has received Pay Forum Awards and has been nominated for several other honors. He got his start in the entertainment industry at an early age, and he still works in it today.

He has directed a variety of creative projects, including photo shoots, vox pop, interviews, documentaries, sketches, and short films.

With the self-professed slogan #YourFavoriteTVBoyfriend, he has established a brand.

He has built a brand with the self-proclaimed hashtag #YourFavouriteTVBoyfriend.

He plays the role of Adelolu ‘Lolu’ Adeleke in Wura, as a queer representative.

Ropo Ewenla

Ropo is a skilled actor, voice actor, writer, director, producer, media entrepreneur, and administrator with experience in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and the Benin Republic.

He has collaborated with a number of well-known filmmakers, including Wlé óynká, Ben Tmlój, Nji Kann, Tndé Awósanm, Tnj Azeez, Tndé Kèlán, and many more. Olusegun ‘Kuti’ is the character he plays in Wura.

Oluseyi Akinsola

He plays the Femi in Wura.

Ego Ogbaro

Ego is the stage name of Nigerian singer-songwriter Nwakaego Ihenacho Ogbaro. The songs “Konko Below,” “Nothing for You,” and “Never Far Away” were all produced by Ego. She frequently traveled the world with Lagbaja, an afrobeat musician from Nigeria.

In Wura, she portrays the maternal, fervently spiritual “Iyabo Kuti.”

Lanre Adediwura

Lanre is an Award winning Actor and a Thespian. He plays Olumide Kuti (Cobra) on Wura. He was also the 2022 BON Awards Winner of Revelation of the Year Actor.

Adeola Awodein

The 49-year-old Nollywood sensation was born Adeola Olubukola Awodein and works as a voice actor, filmmaker, and highly sought-after model.

Adeola has acted in a number of well-known movies, including Tinsel, My Siblings and I, Bella’s Place, and many others. When not acting, she performs humanitarian tasks like the Cancer Awareness Walk that she participated in in Akwa Ibom in 2020.

She played Zira on the Africa Magic television show Dilemma, and she is currently ‘Aunty Labake’ in Wura.

Casey Edema

Casey Edema is an Itshekiri from Delta State’s Warri North Local Government Area. He has previously won the Glo Naija Sings Season 2 contest. He sings, writes scripts, and does voice-over work. In Wura, he assumes the role of “Dimeji.”

Rhoda Albert

English and Pidgin English are both languages that Nigerian voice artist and actor Abimbola Rhoda Albert speaks with ease. She describes herself as a vocal storyteller and is interested in social issues and female children. She played the part of Nere in the Africa Magic series, Riona, and currently portrays ‘Paulina’ in Wura.

Olumuyiwa Donald

Muyiwa is a creative director, an actor, and a mobile filmmaker. He plays the role of Kazeem in Wura.

Tersy Akpata

Tersy works as an actress, a curator, and a business owner. She is a native of Epe in Lagos State.
