Ohio school bus driver Jackie Miller video

A school bus driver in Ohio has quit after a video of her shouting at pupils went viral on social media.

Jackie Miller, a former Amherst bus driver, was caught on tape using profanities and swearing at kids, and the video has been viewed millions of times.

Miller apologized for her actions but also defended them in an interview with WKYC 3 Studios in Cleveland, claiming that a core group of kids had been purposely inciting her for the last two years.

“I’m sorry for how things turned out. “I really am,” Miller stated. “I apologize for my actions, but I will not retract them.”

She also claimed that strong perfumes prompted her asthma problems, which resulted in the videotaped incident. Miller cited such behavior as one of the causes of the nationwide bus driver shortage.

“This is a problem shared by all bus drivers.” “We are treated in the worst possible way,” Miller stated. “We are treated with such contempt.”

Despite her departure, Miller has gotten community support, including a Vermilion apparel company printing parts of what she said on a t-shirt and donating $5 from each sale to her.

As of Friday morning, Jeff Grob of Vermilion had donated more than $88,000 for Miller’s “retirement fund” on GoFundMe.
