Le Farfalle Restaurant Review: Menu, Prices, Location

Le Farfalle is a regional Italian restaurant nestled downtown in the beautiful and quaint Harleston Village, located at 15 Beaufain street Charleston, SC. If you have not visited this breathtaking restaurant, then this piece of information I am here to provide today will serve as an appetizer to hesitate your visitation there.

About Le Farfalle

So, what’s actually so special about this place you may be wondering or asking why this restaurant is Italian and Charleston at the same time, Isn’t it just a rambling Italian seaside restaurant situated close to King Street. Here’s the catch: There is a brilliant courtyard just perfect for brunch in dappled sunlight, alos is a official dining enclosure with high-backed wooden booths creating a cocoon for intimate conversation in the otherwise expansive room.

However for most individuals who visit this place, the most captivating and fun part is the bar. It’s bright and airy with doors that open to the night beyond, high-topped “cafĂ© style” wicker chairs invite you to sit and stay for dinner, and conversation between guests flow as easily as the wine.

What about the meals?

Le Farfalle Restaurant menu

Le Farfalle’s meal is served with its unique flavour and so you don’t need to rush it. The chefs are trained to attend to each individual with undivided attention for maximum experience. You can also request for a take away if you wish to attend to other urgent matters.

What about the drinks?

Here you can find Italian classics, such as the Campari Spritz. Everyone seem to be interested in the new new mix of tequila and mezcal as somehow the right accompaniment for that Octopus Carpaccio. It’s inventive, it’s welcoming and approachable, and yet you come away tasting a combo of flavors that might be new to your palate.

The cocktail program shouldn’t be a hidden gem, but because it’s Charleston, most guests don’t realize the dexterity of spirit-dealing that is happening just steps away from their pasta plating. What makes it so good? The tone is perfect for the spot, light and approachable.

Also available is the wine, a 60-plus bottle list beautifully selected and presented as you would expect of a restaurant owned by New York transplant and Perla alumnus Michael Toscano. The reason to order beer here is if it’s all you drink.

What should we order?

When looking for a place to call home, then you have gotten one as this place is a friendly location. The food here will surely make you have a change of diet routine, you can enjoy a simple plate of rigatoni verde and a glass of wine at the bar, or go all out with courses and spend the evening there.

Others are the Fideos with toasted angel hair pasta and local crab, a very filling Warm Rosemary Focaccia served with whipped ricotta, anything from the excellent vegetable selections, and yes, that Octopus Carpaccio, sliced paper thin and arranged on the plate like a Yayoi Kusama work.

I will advise you not to be quick to plan your menu schedule, not for any negative reason, but because the menu is highly seasonal, and since it’s Michael’s spot, he loves to cook with other chefs for pop-ups or get last-minute inspiration from product coming in fresh to the kitchen, so try to inquire from your server.

Why worry about the customer service?
You will meet brilliant and friendly attenders at Le Farfalle, persons with warm voices. They don’t joke with customers here, they even remember your name, your favourite spot and choice of menu. They will patiently wait for you to decide what to order.

Just so you know, these staffs know very well what’s good here majorly because they eat here everytime. You should ask them for clarity, and trust me, they have staff favorites and they might even let a few off menu tips slip.

Is everyone welcomed here?

Yes, everyone is! whether you wan a place to relax with friends or alone, or you want to have some business discussions, or time-out with your spouse and family. Le Farfalle is a place that should come to your mind.
