The weekly sketch/variety TV show, ‘The Charly Boy Show’ which features music, comedy and celebrity appearances, produced by Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa aka Charly Boy is soon coming to our screen again..
The Maverick showbiz man recently revealed this in a chat with HipTv.
“I want it to be a surprise but let me just let the cat out of the bag. “The Charly Boy Show” is coming back but not as you know it that time o!” he said.
“There are a lot of changes just to fit in with what is happening right now. But it’s going to be, as usual, whacky, interesting and hmmmm bonfire! Yes!!”
When asked why he decided to have a return of the show, the self-styled entertainer continued: “I am a TV person. I‘ve done a whole lot of shows: Charly Boy shows, Zoom Time, The Kiddies Show and all of it.
“I think I miss the fun a lot. I think I’m getting back into it with my creativity.
“Actually, I was considering whether I’m retired or not retired. But here I am, doing the things that I love to do, the things that I’m passionate about. So, that’s the why.
‘The Charly Boy Show’ first launched on NTA 2 Channel 5 Lagos and was later syndicated across other stations in the country.
The cast included Charly Boy, his wife Diane Oputa, actress Stella Damasus, singing duo Tunde and Wunmi Obe, among others.
