David Lawrence Schwimmer was born in Queens, New York, on November 2, 1966. Ellie was his younger sister, and his parents, Arthur and Arlene, are also lawyers.
Schwimmer’s first acting job came after his family relocated to Los Angeles, California, and it was in the Jewish adaptation of Cinderella. He participated in Sir Ian McKellen’s Shakespeare workshop there as well. At Beverly Hills High School, he enrolled in many school play.
