Mike Afolarin as Ishayo Bello
Standing as the major Far From Home Netflix Cast is Ishaya Bello– a charismatic teenager and very talented artist who hails from a poor family. His dreams suddenly appear within reach when a prestigious scholarship to the most exclusive school in the country, Wilmer Academy, catapults him into the affluent world of Nigeria’s elite.

Elma Mbadiwe as Carmen Wilmer-Willoughby
Carmen served as the daughter of Feyi and Mabel Wilmer-Willoughby. At her first appearance, she seemed like a mean soul but is really a softie on the inside. She is one of the major Far From Home Cast.

Genoveva Umeh as Ozinna
Zina, a Far From Home Cast, is a close friend of Ishaya and Frank. Zina is the type of person who would give everything for her friends. She really has a soft heart.

Government is another Far From Home Cast member who has earned his name because of his power to lord over others. He is a shady night club owner who made the likes of Ishaya sell drugs for him.
Bolanle Ninalowo as Oga Rambo
Oga Rambo is a colleague of Government; they both run the drug business. His love for money in uncontrollable.
Funke Akindele as Patricia
Patricia is a cast of Far From home who serves as Ishaya and Rahila’s mum. She doesn’t think Ishaya can make it to Wilmer academy. She lost hope in him being a trouble-free-child, after all the troubles he brought upon the family.
Olumide Oworu as Atlas
Atlas is Carmen’s boyfriend. He is also a talented artist and he has a never ending rivalry with Ishaya. He is a major Netflix Far From Home cast and he highly contributes to the plot. He posed as a loving boyfriend meanwhile having an affair with her best friend,
Emeka Nwagbaraocha as Frank
Frank is close friends with Zina and Ishaya. He is quite and loving, reading to go to any length to prove his humble self.
Gbubemi Ejeye as Adufe
Adufe is a cast of Far From Home series but not a student of Wilmer Academy. Meanwhile, she has close relations with the students of Wilmer Academy. She left Ishaya and cleaved to Oga Rambo; whom together they did many drug business.
Bimbo Akintola as Mabel Wilmer-Willoughby
Bimbo Akintola is a major Far From Home cast and co-owner of Wilmer Academy. She is also the mother of Carmen. She is stuck up and looks down on people who are not in the same economic class as her.
Richard Mofe-Damijo as Feyi Wilmer-Willoughby
He is co-owner of Wilmer Academy and father of Carmen.
Adesua Etomi-Wellington as Ms. Irurhe
Adesua Etomi is a major Netflix Far From Home cast as an art teacher at Wilmer Academy. She discovered an exceptional artistic ability in Ishaya and was ready to see him fly to the top.
Paul Adams as Ishaya Snr- Ishaya’s father
He is a Netflix Far from Home cast who is also a talented artist but failed to achieve his dreams. He lost his other son at his early age when pursuing his career.

Netflix, in collaboration with Inkblot Studios have released the official trailer for its first Nigerian young adult series titled ‘Far From Home’
The 5-part limited series will be available only on Netflix from December 16th.
Plot
Far From Home tells the story of Ishaya Bello (Mike Afolarin), a charismatic teenager and talented artist from a poor family whose dreams suddenly appear within reach when a prestigious scholarship to the most exclusive school in the country,
Wilmer Academy, catapults him into the affluent world of Nigeria’s elite. All the while a huge secret threatens Ishaya’s newfound status and, ultimately, his family’s safety.
Far From Home Netflix series was created by Chinaza Onuzo and Dami Elebe. The series was directed by Catherine Stewart, Kayode Kasum and Kenneth Gyang. It also boasts a very respectable writer’s room of Dami Elebe (Skinny girl in Transit, The Men’s Club) Nki’ru Njoku (MTV Shuga), Jola Ayeye(The Smart Money Woman), Abosi Agba (Day of Destiny), Chiemeka Osuagwu (The Blood Covenant)
Far From Home Netflix series is coming at a really good time in the industry, there’s now an acceptability and a demand for young adult content from Africa.
Seen in the success of Blood and Water, a young adult Netflix original series from South Africa now in its third season.
In Nigeria, other production studios like Ndani TV have invested in young adult content with their new Web series ‘Schooled’
Also, Neptune3 studios keep on breaking barriers with the extremely popular Web series ‘Best Friends in the World’.
It’s only right that we have our own big budget young adult show from Netflix.
Far From Home Netflix series looks like it’s going to be a story of ambition, love, friendships and betrayal.
Ishaya, our main man, is a struggling artist working at a nightclub for a shady nightclub owner. In his desire to achieve his dream, he steals from his boss and gets caught. To pay back, he unwillingly gets sucked into the drug game.
